There are a few beaches you should not miss when visiting Curacao. One of them is Playa Porto Mari, which offers excellent snorkeling/diving and beautiful scenery. There are clean facilities and a good beach-side restaurant. The entrance fee is about $2 USD.
The beach at Karakter, Rif St. Marie, is free of charge. There are stairs leading into the sea, which doesn’t make this a favorite for families with young children. The atmosphere is relax, service is excellent and the food is very tasty.
Another great beach to go to is Grote Knip (also called ‘Playa Kenepa’). There are actually two separate beaches in this area; ‘Kleine Knip’ which is fairly small and Grote Knip which is a big beach, which allows for some privacy between sunbathers. It has a beautiful view from the parking lot overlooking the bright blue Caribbean Sea.
Kokomo beach is a great place for young people, with chill music and lounge areas. There is a small fee which includes entrance, beach chair and a small bottle of water. Service is good and the restaurant has nice dishes for relatively cheap prices.
Close to Willemstad, you will find some famous beaches like Mambo Beach Boulevard (BLVD) and Jan Thiel Beach (with Zanzibar restaurant and Papagayo beach club). These beaches attract many young people between the age of 18 and 25. They do organize some good happy hours there on some nights, accompanied by live music.
